October wrap-up

October was wonderful - it's one of my favorite months. I love and agree wholeheartedly with that L.M. Montgomery quote: "I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers." The weather begins to change, we're on the cusp of the holidays (but not there yet!) and nature is beautiful.

We went to the Home Depot workshop and the kids got to make airplanes.

Our neighborhood had an Oktoberfest picnic, and the weather was amazing.

Ben and Rosie had a visit from firemen to their school.

Grandma came down for a visit and we were able to celebrate her birthday. Then she even brought birthday presents down for the kids for their birthdays...so it was a celebration all around!

Chris and Ben at the W&M Homecoming parade (the girls and I were at the Eras movie).

Rosie and Ben were invited to a craft party at their friend's house. They colored pumpkins, decorating popcorn balls and made oreo spiders and then ran off all the sugar.

Chris and I had a little firepit in the backyard one evening.

We went on a full moon hike in the dark at Freedom Park one night.

Biking to the Chick on a Sunday morning.

Playing with the new magnet wall after church.

Rosie and Ben were invited out to lunch at Charley's airport with a wonderful couple from our church.

School is closing its first quarter, soccer is ending, and we are ready to hopefully enjoy another month of cool weather before it gets quite cold here.
