Rosie and Ben had their first official school field trip! I met them at Holly Fork Farm.
They had an educational session where they learned about the parts and life cycle of a pumpkin. They got to examine pumpkin pieces with magnifying glasses.
Then it was off to the pumpkin patch where they each got to pick out their own pumpkin to take home. Ben picked white and Rosie picked orange.
Then we went on a hayride around the farm.
We explored the animals - pigs, chickens, donkeys, horses, sheep...
Then it was off to the tire playground and then to the corn crib. Rosie and Ben seemed to prefer the tires - they didn't love corn pouring out of their shoes and pockets, hah!
Finally we ate some lunch together and then they headed back to the busses and back to school.
I was so glad I was able to join!
