Rigi

Chris and I recently took a trip to Switzerland!

It was a long flight through Atlanta, but we hit the ground running. Our first stop was Rigi - Queen of the Mountains.

In order to get there we had to take the oldest cogwheel train in Europe - the Vitznau-Rigi Railway.

We got to the top and did a bit of exploring.

We decided to do a short hike nearby up the Rotstockweg and were able to spot ourselves on their live weather camera!

The views were beautiful until the fog started rolling in rapidly!

We went back down the mountain, and grabbed a drink and snack at the Bahnhoeffli.

And then headed to Lucerne where we were staying.

We visited the famous Chapel Bridge (Kapellbruecke).

And another bridge - Spreuerbruecke, also over the Reuss River.

We also saw the Lion monument (Loewendenkmal).

And then had dinner at Cafe de Ernesto, which was lovely!

We walked around exploring the beautiful city for as long as we could (we were tired).

We got ice cream after exploring and then sat by the river to enjoy the views.

It was a lovely first day!
