Renovation

Since December 1st we've been in the midst of a renovation. It has been quite disruptive and busy! We decided to add a bathroom/bedroom to the first floor in the front room. Currently Eleanor and Jane share a room and Ben and Rosie share a room and we decided it was time for Eleanor and Jane to have some of their own space:

Day 1

Day 2: they started cutting the wall open because we were putting in a door (rather than just an wide opening) and we found a Hardee's cup in the wall from the 1980s when the house was built!

They also started framing in the bathroom at the back of the room.

Day 5 - they started putting in electric and plumbing:

Week 2: cement board went in for the tile.

What started the renovation process though were our upstairs bathrooms...so those are currently underway! More on that soon.
