Memorial Day

Well, Memorial Day was rainy pretty much the entire weekend! Thankfully, our pool opened a week early and it was a beautiful weekend:

On Friday, we went to Busch Gardens and then over to Frothy Moon to honor Papa Laser:

Eleanor's band teacher happened to be playing:

We had lots of indoor time, including a fun sisters' performance:

Thankfully our neighborhood picnic did not get cancelled due to weather, so we were able to get out of the house for a bit. Some of our kids even swam despite it being wet and in the 60s. The inflatable was a fun addition this year:

We ended up having dinner with our small group on Monday (with the rain pouring down) and then swim started! The first two practices ended up being dryland due to rain/lightning. 

While it was a good Memorial Day, it felt a little bit like a bust because we couldn't do the pool, Water Country, beach, or really anything outside. Hopefully there will be better weather for it next year!
