Thankful Thursdays

Okay, so I'm going to start a series on my blog. Every Thursday (hopefully!). It's easy. All you do is think of one thing (or several!) that you are thankful for this week and leave it in the comment section below. I decided to do it on Thursdays mostly because not only is it the day of the week that sounds the most like the word thankful, but also because I know if anyone else out there is like me, by Thursday you are tired! It's often been a loong week, you're looking forward to the weekend, and it's a good time to reflect on the positive things of the last few days. Now this doesn't have to be serious (although it can be!). It can be something totally simple, superficial, or really anything at all! Plus, it's an easy way for me to find out what's going on in your lives :) So here goes...

This week I am thankful for a second car. (I know that's a really lame first one, but it's what's on my mind right now!)

Now, what are you thankful for?

um i love this idea!

i'm thankful for band-aids. maybe an odd choice, but i have blisters on my feet right now and band-aids make them not hurt at all.

i'm also thankful for slippers because after a day at work slippers are the best thing ever.

and i'm thankful for YOU (cheesy i know, but true, and appropriate for the first Thankful Thursday i feel)

I'm thankful for the sport of bowling. Which I just got home from. And also for the tv show The Office, which is about to start in 4 minutes. And also for my beautiful and creative wife, who came up with this great idea.

Since this is katie's blog, the first thing that comes to mind is that I am thankful for my beautiful daughter-in-law!

I love hearing what people are thankful for!

Lets see... A gracious God who continues to love me every day (even though I can never deserve it). My husband who is making dinner tonight (what an awesome man!). Last, the family that is living with us in our home... for all the noise of two little boys, the joy of eating someone elses cooking and the fun of lving in community.
