Happy Valentine's Day! ...a little late!

Happy Valentine's Day! I was out of town for the holiday, but Chris and I have celebrated the same way every year. A bag of m&ms and a card. I love celebrating this way because it takes the pressure off the holiday and allows you to just enjoy being in each other's company. This tradition started before we even began dating (which happened shortly after!), so our dating anniversary also happens to fall near Valentine's. Actually, it's today!

This year, Chris knew we wouldn't be together for the holiday, so he sent my m&ms to a friends' house, and with a little help from her, they were waiting for me on the 14th!

By the time I got home last night, I was again exhausted from travel and Chris surprised me with Valentine's brinner.

It was delicious! French toast, whipped cream, strawberries, and mimosas!

I haven't had strawberries in awhile because they've been out of season, and they were awesome.

We've had a very happy 4 years together now. Are there any fun or simple Valentine's traditions you carry on year to year with your family or significant other?

That's so cute! And what a great tradition - a card and M & Ms. We never do anything big for the holiday either. One year I bought Chris a six pack of his favorite beer. Last year, we went to dinner at Chipotle - one of my favs! This year he is taking me to a John Mayer concert (it's not until Saturday, but we figured, it's a good way to celebrate Valentine's). Congrats on 4 years together!!!
