We went to D.C. today to celebrate our nation's birth. I've lived in northern Virginia for a long time and don't think I've ever been over to D.C. to see the fireworks. I've always done our town's fireworks! It seemed appropriate after we learned so much about our country's history this summer.
We had gorgeous weather and a great view of the fireworks to the left of the Washington Monument. We were on the water so they were reflecting off the water below. They were pretty wonderful!
Happy 4th! Thank you to all those out there preserving our freedom and protecting our country.
