Outdoor movies

I finally got to see the movie Toy Story 3 last week.  I'll admit, it wasn't really on my list of movies to watch, but I had heard really good things about it and was interested in seeing it eventually.  The best part was, it was playing outside for free!  It reminded me of the good old screen on the green days at WM or I love the 80s in Arlington!

It didn't take place at that old abandoned theater in town (which I'm still monitoring so I can go to something there), but they had an inflatable screen set up on a field.  It got a little cold since it was shown at night, but I brought a blanket and we had a great time.  If you haven't seen it yet, it's a pretty excellent movie and funny, too!

Also, someone dressed up as Woody.

We had heard in advance that there would be someone dressed up as Woody and someone as Buzz Lightyear (who we didn't see) for kids to get their pictures taken with; however, we were expecting mascot-like costumes - not just a dude in a sheriff's outfit with a cowboy hat on!  It was still an impressive costume though.  Maybe he'll save it for Halloween...

I love this! My fav outdoor movie memory was when someone brought a real DeLorean to the Back to the Future screening :)

haha my first instinct was that this is awesome, both b/c I love outdoor movies and b/c that costume is sweet....my second instinct is that this is still awesome, but that it's mildly disconcerting that they MAKE that costume for adults...? :) haha!
