Easter Sunrise

HAPPY EASTER!

We went to the sunrise service on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial this morning. It was a really wonderful experience and very beautiful.

"The angel said to the women, 'Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here. He has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where He lay, then go quickly and tell His disciples: He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see Him."
-Matthew 28: 5-7

Though we had to get up at 4:30am to get there, it was absolutely worth it. The weather was perfect to be outside at that time of day and we brought blankets and just enjoyed watching the sun come up and celebrating with a few thousand others. We walked through the Vietnam Memorial on the way back to the car. I highly recommend going if you ever get the chance!
