How I keep organized (not an advertisement)

Those of you who've been around awhile already know that I'm a fan of Google. On a daily basis I use at least 5-6 features on the Google platform and on a slightly less regular basis, at least 10 others. Well last winter when I was in the midst of juggling school, a new job, a move, and Chris's new job and schedule I made the leap from a paper calendar to Google's online option...and people...it has changed my life.

It has made wearing the many different hats I wear much simpler and more coordinated. And the only reason I bring it up now is because I only recently (a couple months ago) started using the tasks feature. It satisfies my desire to cross stuff off lists because it literally crosses stuff out for you when you check a task off. I can separate all my calendars but still coordinate them all...and I can share them! For example, my Richmond schedule is shared with all the girls in my carpool so when I'm scheduling work or meetings, I can schedule around them and we can share rides.

I've got a Richmond/school calendar, work calendar, clinical calendar, personal calendar, Chris's out of town work calendar, sports calendar, tasks calendar, and a birthdays and anniversaries calendar. I consult this thing all. the. time.

Anyway, this isn't an advertisement; it's just how I keep organized. And I am definitely looking forward to weeding out a few of these calendars in just a couple months when I will hopefully not be going to Richmond or school anymore... :)

Every once in a while I have this urge to return to the paper calendar, and I can never do it. My google calendar is just so much better! And I love all the colors...

I love Google calendar! I don't have as many as you, but I do have a personal calendar, a staff calendar, a birthday calendar, and a shared calendar with Alex. Yay Google!
