Jane is four months old

Jane is four months old now! At her doctors appointment she weighed sixteen pounds, 1.5 ounces (92nd percentile!), was 24 and 3/4 inches long (68th percentile and 37% of the way to my adult height) and her head circumference was 16 inches (38th percentile). We knew she was big (bigger than Eleanor at this stage), but we had no idea she was that big!

This girl has really started developing her personality this month. She found her voice over Christmas break and has been cooing and talking quite a bit! She also grabs things, particularly rings and bats at toys on her play mat and bouncer seat. She does not like being left alone...she will protest loudly if she is set down and you move out of her field of vision. She is also constantly sucking on her fists or whatever other toy she can grab. Thankfully she hasn't found any individual fingers yet, though she is very close to finding her thumb. We've basically completely given up the pacifier since she still seems to dislike it. She's drooling and we have started putting bibs on occasionally so she doesn't soak her clothes. She also tries to sit up whenever we leave her propped at an angle.

Jane is growing well, eating well, and enjoying being a part of our family. We have had a small sleep regression the last week or so - she has been waking up twice or sometimes more a night instead of just the one time she was doing last month. We think she's hitting a growth spurt...
