Jane is now nine months old and so very emotive! She lets you know exactly how she's feeling, which thankfully is generally happy. She gets quite frustrated when Eleanor takes toys away from her, upset when her diaper is dirty, and excited when food is in front of her. She also gets sad when left alone. Jane weighs 21 pounds, 2 ounces (87th percentile), is 28 inches long (57th percentile and 42% of the way to my adult height), and her head circumference is 17.25 inches (44th percentile). Jane is fairly mobile now, but not yet crawling. She can scoot backward when on her belly and scoot while seated to get into new positions, though likely not where she is intending to end up. Because she's not actually crawling, this kind of snuck up on us when unfortunately, she fell off the bed once this month while we weren't looking. She has been refusing all types of baby food and even non-baby foods that are the consistency of baby food, yet she will eat pretty much anything as long as there is some texture to it or if she sees someone else eating it, too. Jane learned to clap this month and loves when people join in with her. She is still sleeping through the night, even more consistently now, and takes one to two naps a day depending on our schedule. She will pretty much never nap on the go like her big sister used to do, but will sleep in the car or in her crib. She also loves saying, "da da," and has lots of short but thick, fuzzy hair.
