Homecoming 2017

This years Homecoming was a bit more of a strain on me than in prior years because we are nearing the end of this twin pregnancy. On Friday I took the girls down to the Homecoming parade, which they love every year! They collected a bunch of candy and obviously couldn't be happier with that outcome.

On Saturday morning, Eleanor had a soccer game, and we went straight from there to campus to watch the basketball scrimmage. From there we headed to the Sunken Gardens for the Children's Carnival where we stayed until it closed at 3. At 3pm, you could literally hear a wall of tears cascading from the end of the Sunken Gardens as they cut everyone off the bounce houses and closed everything down.

From there we headed to the football game (which unfortunately we did not win), where there were even more bounce houses!

Sweet Jane was a champion all day, having had to skip her nap and walk probably a mile or two around campus all day without a stroller. Big sister Eleanor helped her keep going by holding her hand and doing "races" with her because I just couldn't carry her with all the extra weight I'm already carrying.

After I got both girls strapped in the car, they were asleep before we got off campus.

It was an exhausting but good weekend, but we're glad to have Chris around more now that it's over!

Oh how I love this! What a fun busy day! The girls look so sweet holding hands. Chris looked so handsome at the parade too!
