Well, swim team was a great. Eleanor competed as a five year old in 25m Freestyle (best time of the season: 52.65 seconds) and 25m Backstroke (best time of the season: 44.54), and even got to swim in a freestyle relay with 3 other 5 year olds at summer awards, though their team DQ'ed on the last swimmer so they didn't get a time. She had amazing coaches, a great swim buddy, and overall just really grew as a swimmer! In fact, she won the award for most improved 6 & under girl on her team. Jane already is looking forward to hopefully joining the team next year because Eleanor had such a good time and didn't want to be left out.
We're actually pretty sad it's over for the summer because it has really been our community this year! (Several of the pictures above were taken by Gaby when she came down to see Eleanor swim.) I know it's far away but we're already excited about swim team next year!
