How can you not love this face?
On the tour of the animals:
Hay ride:
Picking pumpkins:
In the hay play area:
Jane's class and snack time:
And my favorite part of the whole field trip...running into Eleanor's Kindergarten teacher! We seriously love her so much and she was one of the reasons we were sad to move and change schools. I would have moved heaven and earth if they would have let Jane, Ben, and Rosie into her class.
Later the next weekend, I wanted to take Eleanor pumpkin picking too, so we organized a group with our old neighbors and some new friends from Eleanor's current school and went to my favorite pumpkin patch - College Run Farms. I love that it's just a big patch and that the "attraction" is picking a pumpkin (and let's be real, their homemade pumpkin-flavored ice cream!) and not a bunch of other stuff. Although they do have a corn maze, which I was told was something like 4 acres?? Eleanor and Jane were in there forever.
Auntie Lo came with us, too! The ferry ride there and back was great, as always.
The kids in front of the hay maze:
Ben busying himself with crackers while he waited for his older sisters to come out of the maze:
Picking pumpkins...the other little girl is one of Eleanor's new best friends at school, also named Eleanor!
Getting ice cream - definitely the high light of Ben and Rosie's trip:
On the way back to the ferry, we stopped at a cotton field. The kids had never seen cotton growing before! It was so pretty and worth the stop!
I love this time of year! Fall really has the best weather around here.
