Swimming wrap-up

The girls' best times of the 2020-21 swim season. Both girls swam 6 & under this year since Eleanor was 6 and Jane was 4. Next year Eleanor will move up to the 7&8 year old group.

This year Eleanor won the 6 & under MVP paper plate award for being the fastest 6 & under on the team. Jane won the Fastest 4 paper plate award for being the fastest 4 year old on the team (and only 4 year old, but she doesn't have to know!).

Eleanor

- Freestyle (25m): 26.78 seconds

- Backstroke (25m): 37.12 seconds

- Breaststroke (25m): 43 seconds

Jane

- Freestyle (25m): 49.66 seconds

- Backstroke (25m): 1:04.87 seconds

In other news, Ben and Rosie have both made huge improvements in the pool! Ben will go under lane lines (being held) and doesn't completely panic when his face goes underwater, though he still doesn't really like it. And Rosie learned to swim very short distances!

We had a great summer at the pool. It was so much fun. Our pool was really an oasis in the midst of the pandemic. We loved our guards, we loved our friends and community, and we just loved life hanging out at the pool every day. As much as I love the changing of the seasons and am eager to get going with school, it is very bittersweet to say goodbye to this place.

Swim team creates such wonderful memories! I'm SO glad your pool was open this summer and that we also were able to take advantage. Proud of how well they all did and can't wait to see them swim next summer!
