Field trip Fridays week 4 - Maymont

We decided to check out Maymont in Richmond for our field trip at the end of September. It was great weather and we were really pleasantly surprised with all there was to do at the park!

There were animals - birds, black bears, bison, bald eagles, and a children's zoo.

There were Japanese gardens to walk around, and a koi pond.

Eleanor posed with a black bear statue outside of their enclosure. I believe all the animals were injured and could no longer survive in the wild.

We climbed trees...

And overall spent hours outside. We left around 1:30 or 2, but we could have spent days there. I think we'll go back on another nice day. We loved it!
