Halloween 2020

Happy Halloween from Hermione Granger, a unicorn, a firefighter, and a ladybug. We were very unsure what Halloween would look like this year, but decided to still trick or treat as many of our neighbors suggested they would be giving out candy at the ends of their driveways.

Without my knowing it, Eleanor had memorized the Hogwarts school song (I didn't even know they had one!) and performed it for us as Hermione.

We had a great time running around with a few of the other neighborhood kids.

There were also some great decorations! Ben seemed a little timid and wouldn't take any candy without someone "helping" him, but if no one went with him he would go up with the girls, not take anything, and then come back crying. So Chris had to go up with him a fair amount.

Ben and Rosie also rode a bit in the stroller. They got tired! I think at around 6:30 (trick or treating starts at 6), Rosie stopped on the side of the road and said, "I think I ready for bed."

Here's the pumpkin we carved earlier in the day.

And the kids with their candy. So, so much candy. And honestly it was all pretty good candy! I don't know if our neighborhood is just good with candy or if people stepped it up a bit for 2020 since the year as a whole has been not so great.

 Happy Halloween!
