On to a new sports season!

As of this weekend, the basketball season is over. The team finished fifth in their conference. It's impressive considering their conference holds four of the top 25 teams in the country. It was a great season, but I've realized starting today - now that there aren't any games to look forward to, the rest of this winter is looking pretty bleak. And it was COLD today. I can't wait for Spring!

We didn't have much of a break before a new season started up. Chris is the sports information director for lacrosse, so Saturday morning he hit the press box to set up.
I'm not a huge fan of lacrosse just because I don't know much about it, but it was really interesting to listen to the guys call the stats from the top box. Here's a sample of what it sounded like for the two hour game: "GB 24 V, Clear attempt V, Clear attempt good, shot 10 V, save 12 H, GB 36 H." For two hours. I still have only a very vague sense of the rules of lacrosse, but I'm guessing I'll learn. At least I have a good view of the field!

wow, basketball season really flew by! i learned to love lacrosse when my brother played in high school, but it has some crazy rules...you can check another player almost anywhere, you can run behind the goal, and you can reach your stick into the goal to the ball...anyway, i hope you enjoy the season!

th eone lacrosse game I went to (Steve & Jonathan's HS game), I thought it was a pretty violent sport! Some guy broke Jonathan's wrist! I know nothing about it, but I'd be up for a game.
