Swim season is now over! Both of the girls qualified for Champs this year, but as Eleanor had only qualified in one stroke (breast), we had decided to swim Summer Awards (essentially the meet for kids who didn't make Champs). The night before entries were due, Eleanor qualified in free and then Jane swam fly and was 3 seconds away from the Champs cut off so she wanted to swim Summer Awards, too. Eleanor ended up swimming back and fly, along with Individual Medley and a relay at Summer awards (and qualified in both back and fly coming in 1st place for both events!) and Jane swam fly and breast and a relay. They did such a great job and had so much fun.
Both girls swam well at Champs and are already looking forward to next season!

It was a great season
Last night we had the end of year party and awards celebration. Jane won Most Improved 6 & under girl, and potentially the only five year old in the league to swim a legal breast and fly this year!
Eleanor said last evening, "I'm so sad swim team is over. It's my favorite time of the year! Except for my birthday and Christmas." Until next swim season...

Great job girls! Can't believe Jane swam fly! It was always our favorite time too. Its so good to have that structure in the summer!!

Those girls love it so much! I am in tears here! I love to see this great enthusiasm for swimming! What a great job both Jane and Eleanor!
