Ben is nine months old

Ben is nine months old today! He is definitely bigger than his sister - he weighs 15 pounds, 6 ounces (<1st percentile still), is 28 inches long (35th percentile and 36% of the weigh to Chris' adult height), and his head circumference is 18 inches (71st percentile). Our little man finally rolled over from his back to his front about a week after he turned eight months. He has also learned to put his pacifier in his mouth by himself. The day before he learned how to roll over, he slept in the crib overnight for the first time with his sister, and once this month, he slept an entire 12 hours without waking up to eat! Then we had a terrible stretch where we were busy and travelling for several weeks and both babies slept horribly. This week, we decided we were going to start sleep training because they had been sleeping so badly (up at least every 3 hours, if not more), but when we got home, they just started sleeping better...7:30 pm - 7:00 am for Ben with a dream feed around 10:00 pm. He also still takes two long naps every day. Ben continues to love food and has a new thing where he screeches (a happy screech) when he sees food (or milk) coming. It is so adorable. He also recognizes the sign for milk and does his happy screech and gets very excited when we sign that to him. Sometimes it even seems like he is signing back. He learned to high five with Chris, is bearing more weight on his legs, and is making a lot of progress sitting up, though he's still not doing that independently. He grabbed his toes a few times this month so is seeming to understand he has arms and legs better now. He has also been doing much better in the nursery at church, including making it through a week of VBS. Ben is also our talker - he loves to say, "ba, ba, ba" and have you repeat it. He also continues to be our smiler - all you have to do is look at him and he'll give you a huge gummy grin. He now has two teeth and drools like crazy! His hair is growing in, but is still very light and is longer on the sides.
