Ben is two years old! He weighs 31 pounds, 7 ounces (86th percentile) and is 33.5 inches tall (34th percentile and 44% of the way to Chris' adult height). His head circumference is 19.5 inches. Ben is so different than our other kids, and while he does play with some more traditionally girly toys, he has a clear interest in vehicles of all kinds, and balls. He loves to throw things and carry cars around everywhere he goes. For his birthday he got lots of cars because up to this point he only had a couple and took them everywhere. It was rough if we couldn't find them! Ben is a sleeper, he sleeps from about 7:30 pm - 6:30 am every night and would sleep later if it weren't for his roommate (though sometimes he is able to sleep through her yelling). He also takes a good 2-3 hour nap every afternoon. He has most of his teeth (still missing about four baby teeth) but still drools like crazy, like he has since he was a month or so old. He is so sweet and snuggly, mostly laid back, but if he gets angry you can really see he puts a lot of vehemence behind his yells. He is also sensitive and responds emotionally to discipline. He thinks it's hilarious to throw food and unfortunately to hit people. We are working on that. He also loves to read books, his favorite being Chicka-chicka Boom boom right now. He is talking a lot, and knows lots of words, but he repeats even more words and phrases from his sister even though we can tell he doesn't always know what the meaning behind them is.
Eleanor and Jane at two for comparison.
Ben at one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, fifteen, and eighteen months old.
