Eleanor is 11!

Eleanor is eleven years old! She is about 60 inches tall (almost 90% of the way to my adult height!) and weighs approximately 70 pounds. We are in full-blown tween stage now. Fifth grade was a great year for her with a large uptick in responsibility, time management (still needs a lot of work), and growth. She enjoyed playing rec soccer and basketball with friends, loved lacrosse and started finding her rhythm on defense, and crushed it in swimming, finishing 7th overall in the league (next to pretty much all year-round swimmers). She made the Battle of the Books competition team this year, competed in Lego-Robotics showing some skill in coding, and loved participating in chorus and learning flute this year. She is transitioning to middle school and all that entails with new found freedom, independence, and late nights. She has been doing volleyball try-outs the entire last week to try to make the team as a manager (6th graders can only be managers but still have to do normal try outs), started youth group at our church this summer, and went to her first sleep away camp - for TWO weeks! She is such a bright and sweet girl doing her best to navigate life and friendships in this in-between stage. We are excited to see what middle school holds for her.
